NOLLYWOOD GIANTS

Over the years, the Nigerian movie industry - Nollywood has grown and is known all around the globe. From the block buster 1996 movie titled: "Domitilla" produced by Zed Ejiro to the 2003 "Aki Na Ukwa" directed by Amayo Uzo and others that are still counting and leave us wanting more; Nollywood as an industry has in one way or the other impacted our lives.

This is not only in depicting the African culture, but in being ranked the 3rd across the globe. Nollywood as an industry hasn't just produced block buster movies but has produced entertainment giants over the years. From the late which include: Enebeli Elebuwa, David Ihezie, Pete Eneh, Sam Loco Efe, Justus Esiri, Ashley Nwosu, and several others who will continually live in our hearts; To the living like Pete Edochie, Chiwetalu Agu, Nkem Owoh, Jim Iyke, Emeka Ike, John Okafor, Kenneth Okonkwo, Yul Edochie, Nonso Diobi, Mike Ezuruonye, Desmond Elliot, Ramsey Nouah, Osita Iheme, Chinedu Ikedieze, Patience Ozokwor, Ngozi Nwosu, Eucharia Anuobi, Ngozi Ezeonu, Richard Mofe Damijo(RMD), Genevieve Nnaji, Ini Edo, Kate Henshaw, Monalisa Chinda, Uche Jombo, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, Chioma Chukwuka, Rita Dominic, Mercy Johnson, Chika Ike, Stella Damasus, Dakore Egbuson, Oge Okoye, Ebube Nwagbo, Yvonne Okoro, Queen Nwokoye, Tonto Dikeh, Funke Akindele, Angela Okorie and many who continually never disappoint.

Nollywood is never complete without the men behind the camera which are the producers and directors. They include: Zeb Ejiro, Chiko Ejiro, Kenneth Nnebue, Sunny Collins, P-Collins, Andy Amenechi, Amayo Uzo, Okechukwu Ogunjiofor, Dozie Eriobu, and many others. Nollywood has evolved to New Nollywood who are the Cinema Film and Awards/Festival Filmakers Kunle Afolayan and Alex Mouth being the New Nollywood Giants Director.

The Producers, the Directors and the Actors who have affected our everyday lives, prove to us that Nollywood is more than an industry; it is a way of life. And this is all thanks to the Giants.
